An honor, a privilege, a duty.
An Honor…
to remember our nations fallen heroes. On Duty Service Dogs names each dog taken into our program in honor of a United States veteran.
A Privilege…
to train dogs received from the nations top service dog breeders. These dogs are purpose bred to have the best temperament, structure, and intellect to produce successful working service dogs.
A Duty…
to give back to the men and women of our military. Each dog trained by On Duty Service Dogs is donated at no cost to a United States Veteran in need.
September is National Service Dog Month and Suicide Prevention Awarness Month
Last September, we had honor of visiting the resting place of Cal Kaul. He was a soldier in the United States Army, and he is the brave man that Cal is named in honor of.
Cal is being raised and trained to work as a service dog to be donated to a United States Veteran. Every day in America, 22 veterans commit suicide. On Duty Service Dogs and dogs like Cal are working to change those stats.
Pictured here is staff sergeant Kaul's mother and Cal the Service Dog in Training — this is the first time they met.
